1. Who we are

matrimonyplugin.ssmatrimony.info is a live demo of the SS Matrimony Demo WordPress matrimony plugin, run. Contact: contact@ssmatrimony.info.

2. This is a demo website

• It is not a real matrimony service – the profiles are sample data, and we do not arrange matches.
• You may create a test account to try the member features. Please use test details only – do not enter your real phone number, photos, family details or other personal information.
• We do not take any payments on this website. The payment screen is only a demonstration – please do not make a real payment. To try the payment step, upload any sample image as the "screenshot".

3. What we collect

• When you contact us: your name, email address, WhatsApp number and website (if you give them) and your message.
• Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, username and password. Passwords are stored encrypted, so nobody can read them – not even our team.
• Profile details: gender, date of birth, religion, mother tongue, profession, highest education, mother name, father name, father occupation, state and city / town / village. If you choose to add them, also your caste, "About me", annual income, mother occupation, siblings and family income.
• Photos: your profile photo and up to 4 more photos in My Photos.
• Your activity: interests you send and receive, your shortlist, members you block, reports you make, and chat messages.
• Technical details: when you were last active, how often your profile was viewed, the device and IP address of each login (shown in the login alert email we send you) and IP addresses for a short time to stop mass sign-ups and misuse.

4. How we use your details

We use your details:

• to reply to your message and talk about the plugin, a walkthrough, installation or custom work;
• to let you try the demo, including the emails the plugin sends;
• to send emails about your account – such as email confirmation, payments, reminders to finish your profile, password changes, interests, new messages, membership, notices and login alerts;
• to keep the website safe and handle reports;
• to answer your questions.

We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we do not use them for advertising.

5. Who can see your details

• Contact messages are seen only by us.
• Other members never see your phone number or email address.
• Approved members can see your profile, your photos and your "About me".
• Visitors who are not logged in see only a few details and a blurred photo. They never see your real photo, income and "About me".
• Extra photos in My Photos are seen by approved members, after our team has checked them.
• Members can see when you are online or were last active. Visitors never see it.
• Members you are in touch with see a short note when you update a part of your profile (for example "Family Details updated").
• Our team can see all account details to manage the website. Our team reads a chat only when it has been reported, to check the report.

6. How long we keep your details

• Test accounts and other demo data may be deleted at any time without notice, because we reset the demo regularly.
• Chat messages older than 3 months are deleted automatically. You can save a chat as a PDF ("Download chat") before that.
• Accounts whose email address is not confirmed are removed after 7 days.
• Photos our team did not approve are removed after 30 days.
• A report and the copy of the chat saved with it are kept as a safety record, also after an account is deleted.
• Copies of the emails the website sends (address, subject and date) are kept for 5 days.
• Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer you and continue our conversation.

7. Your choices

• Edit your profile at any time. Optional details can be left empty.
• Hide your profile from search in Account → Profile visibility.
• Block a member to stop all contact, or report a member who misbehaves.
• Change your email address – the change happens only after you confirm it from the new address.
• Delete your test account in Account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, interests, shortlist and messages (reports stay, see above).
• Ask us by email to delete your contact message or any other information, or to tell you what we hold about you.

8. Cookies and other services

We use the cookies WordPress needs to keep you logged in, and a small cookie that remembers which profiles you opened in the last 12 hours, so the same visit is not counted twice. The website loads Google Fonts and a language translator (Google Translate); they may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

9. Age

Profiles are only for adults of legal marriageable age: at least 21 years for men and 18 years for women.

10. Security

Passwords are stored encrypted, the website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection and member uploads are kept away from public search. Keep your password to yourself – we will never ask for your password, an OTP or money by email or phone. No website can be 100% secure, so please use test details only when you try the demo.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes too.
